Three student teams from the University of Tartu took part in the Nordic Collegiate Programming Contest (NCPC) on 4 October, where a total of 173 teams from across the Nordic and Baltic countries competed in the main ICPC category.

This spring, a record 252 theses were defended at the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science. These included 179 bachelor's and 83 master's theses.

The Industrial Master’s Programme in IT attracted a record number of applicants. A total of 18 companies are participating, and 54 master’s students applied for the available positions.

A team of computer science students from the University of Tartu performed successfully at the ICPC European Programming Championship held in Portugal, achieving 13th place out of 53 participating teams.
