The Delta Library of the University of Tartu can be considered to have originated in 2020, when the former Mathematics and Informatics Library and the Economics Library both moved to the newly completed Delta Centre.
The Delta Library is a subject library that contains academic and scientific literature in various fields of mathematics, statistics, informatics, and economics.
Our library provides comfortable working spaces with computer workstations and the option to connect mobile devices to monitors.
The library is open to all visitors. Borrowing books for home use is available to members of the University of Tartu. For more details, see the University of Tartu Library rules.
To borrow books for home use, a University of Tartu Library reader account and a valid reader identification document (ID card, or a paid library card issued by the UT Library, or a residence permit card) are required.
User Registration | Readers who cannot sign their application digitally can sign it manually at the Delta Library. ❗️At the end of the application, select “I will sign at the library in person”. |

Printing, Photocopying and Scanning | Next to the entrance of the Delta Library, you can use the Print in City service. Payment is required according to the PiC price list. UT Mathematics and Statistics Thesis Repository (since 1950) ! Information about non-digitized theses can be found in the ESTER e-catalogue. These materials are available for on-site use at the University of Tartu Library.
Master’s and bachelor's theses in mathematics and statistics can be found in the UT Digital Archive ADA.
Databases: databases containing mathematical and statistical information (access from the University of Tartu network, use a VPN connection at home. VPN setup guide).
First-year students at the Institute of Computer Science can borrow laptops from the Institute of Computer Science starting from the beginning of the semester.
Students from other disciplines who are enrolled in at least 6 ECTS worth of courses at the Institute of Computer Science can borrow a laptop from the Delta Library. More information here.
