Date: August 23, 2021
On August 23, 2021, the pan-European physical activity campaign MyPromise Europe will start at the Delta Center of the University of Tartu.
MyPromise Europe is a person-to-person campaign where physically active and athletic people invite their less-active family members, friends, colleagues, schoolmates and sisters to exercise and sport. Just come up with a specific loved one or friend, get in touch and invite them to go hiking, walking or jogging together, ride a bike or even play badminton. Whatever your mode of movement and sport, everything works!
As part of the opening event of the campaign, a TALK SHOW of Health and Sports Stories, led by Jüri Muttika and Tanel Talve, will take place, in the framework of which many well-known sports people, health experts, opinion leaders and thinkers will share their thoughts.
Kristina Šmigun-Vähi (Olympic winner), Kristjan Port (sports biologist), Anneli Ott (Minister of Culture), Tanel Kiik (Minister of Health and Labor), Priit Perens (Head of the University of Tartu Hospital), Lauri Luik (Vice-President of the Estonian Olympic Committee) , Kadri Ukrainski (Professor of the School of Economics and Business Administration, University of Tartu), Tormis Laine (Top Alpine Skier), Marko Albert (Triathlon Coach), Kert Keskpaik (Roller Skating Coach), Ott Pärna (CEO of the Board of the SCULT Foundation and Professor of the School of Economics and Business Administration, University of Tartu), Roman Fosti (top marathoner), Gert Prants (Head of the Academic Sports Club of the University of Tartu), Mihkel Lees (educator, Deputy Mayor of Tartu and a sports friend), Jaak Teppan (Suusahullud.ee), Hannes Veide (running friend ultra runner) and others.
